Gaming History (Part 1)

Okay, this post has to be written in a time crunch, and I wasn’t sure what I should write about to interest you gamers. In the end, I just decided to write about the evolution of gaming and how it changed over time. Hopefully this would arouse your interests, but I do apologize in advance if it is boring.

So.. many years have passed and the purpose of gaming stayed the same, which is about having fun.  Gaming was just outdoor games or playing traditional games pertaining to your culture. Some examples are mahjong (link to play online), playing cards, or even hopscotch! Traditional and board games were generally the go-to entertainment for both kids and adults. Computer games were created in the 1960s, but with the scarce supply of computers, computers were generally only used for academic purposes.

Image result for arcade space invadersIt wasn’t until around the late 1970s when games were beginning to be spread. Arcade games like Space Invaders and Pac-Man were widely produced, and arcades were the new go-to place for entertainment!
